General Purpose PAPR Systems

General purpose PAPR (powered air-purifying respirator) systems filter ambient air to provide workers with safe, breathable air. A battery-powered blower passes ambient air through a filter into the facepiece. Some systems also use a cartridge to filter vapours and gases. PAPRs allow workers to move freely and unrestricted because the filter and power source are worn on the body.
